Nashville Capital Network Announces Expansions in Sponsorship Support

Nashville, TN - Nashville Capital Network (NCN), an organization that helps young companies raise investment capital through a network of angel investors, announces the financial support and involvement of several major new sponsors.

Decosimo Certified Public Accountants and Decosimo Corporate Finance have joined NCN as Underwriters. Additionally, NCN supporters Nashville Health Care Council, Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, and W Squared have upgraded to the full Sponsor level, announced Sid Chambless, executive director.

"It is an exciting time to be an entrepreneur in Middle Tennessee and these firms recognize the important progress our organization is leading to provide mentoring and early stage financing for fledgling companies," stated Chambless. "I think these new sponsors recognize the uniqueness of Nashville Capital Network, the strength of our collaborative network and the track record we have established. This increased support will enable us to expand our entrepreneur advocacy programs, and in the process develop more promising investment opportunities for our network of angel investors."

Mike Cain, Managing Partner at Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, Mike Costello, Principal at Decosimo Certified Public Accountants, and Shannon Farrington, Principal and CEO of W Squared, will join the NCN Board of Directors, Chambless said.

Farrington commented, "As W Squared has several NCN affiliated companies as clients, we consider it our responsibility and honor to support NCN and its future successes, not only for its investors, but also for the entrepreneurs that will be nurtured and cultivated into those successes."

Costello noted, "As Decosimo expands its presence in Middle Tennessee, we feel it is important to support this organization that is so critical to the early stage ecosystem. Additionally, we hope to leverage our resources around the state to assist the companies currently working with NCN."

Adds Cain, "LBMC has been a longtime supporter of NCN. We believe in the mission of the organization and look forward to working with their constituents to build the next wave of transformational companies in Nashville."

Since its launch in 2003, NCN has helped 19 companies to raise more than $70 million, $17.8 million of which has come directly from NCN's Angel Group. Additionally, NCN has provided 250 companies with formal business plan feedback and has held more than 100 advisory meetings.
