ConnectivHealth Sells Division to Intellerus
Nashville, TN - ConnectivHealth, Inc. has sold one of its divisions, VerusMed, a medical information brand which provides doctors and health care professionals with news, to Intellerus, LLC, an investment firm led by media industry veteran Roscoe C. Smith III.
ConnectivHealth is focusing on Heath Teacher, an online K-12 health education program for teachers. The company acquired the Web-based VerusMed product line in June 2007 as part of its purchase of Nashville-based Relegent.
VerusMed has 150,000 medical and healthcare readers of its therapeutic updates and publishes Health Care Business Daily and Managed Markets Update. In addition to serving these professionals, VerusMed affords pharmaceutical, life sciences and managed-care companies access to healthcare marketing channels. Intellerus plans to enhance VerusMed's information services, while pursuing acquisitions of complementary information and media businesses serving the healthcare industry.
