W SQUARED NAMED A 2008 NASHVILLE AREA CHAMBER
FUTURE 50 WINNER
Award identifies and recognizes 50 fastest-growing,
privately held companies in Middle Tennessee.
Nashville, TN - W Squared has been named a 2008 Nashville Area Chamber Future 50 company. The Future 50 is an annual recognition program celebrating the 50 fastest-growing, privately owned companies headquartered in Middle Tennessee.
The Future 50 are identified through a nomination form, which includes questions about a company's past and projected sales and employment growth. To be eligible, companies must be privately owned, headquartered in Middle Tennessee, have 10 or more employees or annual revenue of at least $500,000, and anticipate revenue and employment growth of 10 percent or more per year for the next three years. The nominations are collected by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and tabulated by KraftCPAs, the official accounting firm of the Future 50 Awards.
"This year's competition was made especially difficult by the high number of applications we received - as a matter of fact, the highest in almost four years," said Charles Sueing, President of the Sueing Agency and chairman of the Chamber's small business council. "It goes to show the strength of these companies, despite the challenges of a less-than-perfect economy."
"This Award is very much a tribute to W Squared's team and its clients. We have a lot of fun at W Squared and it is a pleasure to work everyday with people who are, not only, talented professionals, but also, friends. Of course, none of it would have been possible without our clients – they are all fantastic and we are honored to have earned their trust," said Shannon W. Farrington, W Squared’s Chief Executive Officer.
W Squared received recognition as a Future 50 company in a special section published by The Tennessean and at a reception and awards dinner on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel.
The Future 50 Awards are presented by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by Bank of America, The Tennessean, KraftCPAs and Frost Brown Todd.
